Having a job in today’s work enviroment is a feat all its own; with unemployment reaching all time highs many Americans may find themselves taking jobs that are dangerous and/or risky in order to survive. One thing these individuals may not consider is the importance of having life insurance when working in such an occupation. A job is measured as “dangerous” in accordance with how many fatalities have happened while an individual was performing work related duties. These are the ten “most dangerous” job for the year of 2007, the most recent compiled list by the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

The 10 most dangerous jobs
Occupation Fatalities per 100,000
Timber cutters 117.8
Fishers 71.1
Pilots and navigators 69.8
Structural metal workers 58.2
Drivers-sales workers 37.9
Roofers 37
Electrical power installers 32.5
Farm occupations 28
Construction laborers 27.7
Truck drivers 25
